On Wednesday, May 21 at 6:00 PM, the MAN Museum is pleased to host the presentation of the exhibition catalogue ‘The Silence Is So Accurate’, dedicated to the work of Gregorio Botta and curated by Chiara Gatti and Elisabetta Masala.
The event will feature the participation of the artist and Davide Ferri, art critic, professor of Aesthetics, and director of Arte Fiera Bologna, who will guide the audience in a reflection on the exhibition, focusing on the poetic interplay between light, water, fire, and materials such as wax and lead — elements that characterize Botta’s artistic language.
The title of the exhibition, inspired by a phrase from Mark Rothko, evokes an intimate landscape of silences and transparencies, where the works take shape through the balance between matter and immateriality, presence and absence. Davide Ferri, who wrote the critical text for the catalogue, will explore the themes of the sacred, the invisible, and suspended time, offering an in-depth interpretation of the exhibited installations.
