MARTA LODDO, voice and loop station – “Water dreams”

Marta Loddo is one of the most appreciated Sardinian musicians and composers, returns as a protagonist to Nuoro Jazz, bringing her new solo project ‘Watery dreams’ as an absolute premiere at the Nuoro festival.
The project moves from water and how water transforms in relation to spaces and currents. Improvisations and songs without a preconceived form that are born in front of the sea and are reproduced in the spaces that welcome them from time to time. A trip for loopstation and voice , a game of additions and subtractions that are based almost exclusively on vocal suggestions, with a sound that transforms while always remaining the same.

Brief biographical notes: For voice and loop station he created the soundtracks of two theater shows written and performed by the author Savina Dolores Massa, “Una Bag So Pittoresque” (2012), inspired by “Letters from Prison” by Antonio Gramsci and “Per please don’t dust my bones” (2014), homage to Alda Merini. He created the sound setting of the show “Rabbia- 5 Studi per un Lutto” by dancer Elena Annovi, with whom he also collaborated for the site specific show “Sono Tornate Le Lucciole” presented at the Dromos Festival in 2021. Author of the music for the podcast “Fuochi” by Daria Corrias for RadioTre Rai.
With the mumucs project he took part in several festivals including Dromos, Waves Festival, Signal Festival, Nuoro Jazz, Time In Jazz, Karel Music Expo, Bookolica, San Teodoro Jazz, Miniere Sonore.
