The Odessa steps are an urban theater which in 1925 became the iconic setting of “The Battleship Potemkin”, a masterpiece of Eisenstein and the history of cinema.

The MAN asks its visitors to enter the film, as spectators and actors of a legendary scene.

Here’s how to participate:

1. Visit the “Odessa Steps” exhibit on the third floor of the museum and head to a screening of “Battleship Potemkin.”

2. Set your camera to black and white.

3. Place your camera on our tripod and take your photo in front of the projection.

4. Post the photo on your favorite social networks and be sure to tag the MAN Museum page (@man_museo).

5. Use the hashtag #unafotopazzesca in your description.

6. The most beautiful photo will be rewarded with a free catalog and two free entries to the Matisse exhibition scheduled at MAN from July 2023.
