The MAN Museum of Nuoro announces the selection of the three Sardinian artists invited for the Residency at Monte Verità in Ascona. The jury that met to examine the dossiers sent by the participants in the Call, announced the names of the three authors who will be able to carry out research work at the prestigious Swiss institution.
Names of the Sardinian artists selected for the residency at Monte Verità:
Giaime Meloni, Elena Muresu, Marco Useli
The agreement signed between the MAN Museum and the Monte Verità Foundation of Ascona (CH) provides for a joint project of residencies for young artists. The three selected authors will therefore come into direct contact with the history and identity of the place and of the “hill of utopia” guided by visiting professors who will compare the work of the artists, in addition to participation in thematic evenings organized by the Foundation with scholars, curators and Swiss artists already active in the area.
As per the announcement, the selected artists will have the opportunity to conduct a project on site, while at the same time three artists of Swiss origin will arrive in Nuoro to conduct a similar residency on the Sardinian territory. The project includes moments of meeting and exchange between the authors of the two groups, conferences and joint events, as well as an overall return of the research carried out and the works produced.
