Bar stories
From the book by Luca Urgu
Original music by Battista Giordano.
With Marco Collu violin, Enrica Marini viola, Luigi Pinna flute, Battista Giordano guitar.
The next evening of BiblioMANia revolves around the pages of the book by journalist Luca Urgu. Bar stories, published by La Zattera, it is a weekday anthology, a journey into the lives of others, collected in the silent days of the lockdown when life seemed suspended in the metaphysical atmosphere, Ã la Hopper, of an everyday non-place. Luca Urgu resurrects the long literature of the bar, from the pages of Poe to those on the road by Kerouac, to zoom in on minimal but intense stories, dotted with characters also reminiscent of a certain Vitali-like poetics. Look for the universal in the particular. The meaning of things in a conversation at the table.
The readings are accompanied by musical pieces chosen by a quartet of musicians gathered around the compositions and guitar of Battista Giordano.
