On Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th September they will be back in attendance European Heritage Days , an event promoted by the MIC and aimed at all places of culture.
This year’s guiding theme, Sustainable cultural heritage: a legacy for the future focuses on the sustainable management of heritage from an environmental, social and economic point of view. Museums and places of culture are therefore called to promote and raise awareness among communities about sustainable practices through different methods capable of creating iteration, exchange and awareness of the need to create a future green.
For the occasion, the MAN offers educational workshops organized by the Education Department and the usual Sunday guided tour organized by Alessandro Moni.
Plan
~ Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th September
“C’Arte” educational workshops organized by the Education Department
opening hours 10:00/12:00 – 17:00/19:00 (by reservation)
Artists have always made use of recycled materials, such as supports or plastic material, color or work tools but the use of ever new material has also led to waste and consumption of resources in art. Sustainability also means knowing how to take a step back, returning to the use of less noble, unbleached, recycled and reused paper. We will investigate the connection between artistic creation and paper, examining some works and retracing the virtuous circle of a sheet: the city’s waste goes to the paper mill and the final product (sheets or cardboard) returns to us as new raw material: with added of vegetable inks, the participant will be invited to create a work related to the current exhibition.
