Saturday 10 October 2015. 11 am - Uni Nuoro – Decamaster Room

In the first half of the 1980s, Remo Salvadori produced the first version of Continuous infinite present, a circular work composed of a braid of steel wires, inspired by the idea of arriving at the creation of a work with no breaks, no interruption, aimed at a harmonization of the dimensions of space and time. From the time of its first making, the work became the constituent of the language and poetics of the artist who later developed new forms, with variable dimensions and thicknesses, both inside museums and galleries and in the open air as public art works.

For the MAN Museum Remo Salvadori has imagined a participatory construction of the ring. The theoretical premises of a new paraphrase of Continuous Infinite Present will be shared with the public during a workshop with the participation of cultural workers, architects and curators. The workshop will be followed by the material construction of the work in the natural context of Monte Ortobene and its later placing in the rooms of the MAN, where the circle will communicate with other works by the artist: Triade, L’osservatore non l’oggetto osservato, Nel momento. Triad, the Observer not the Object Observed. At the Time).

Remo Salvadori's project for the MAN Museum, with the participation of the University of Nuoro (Decamaster) and the Association of Architects of the Province of Nuoro, is a part of the programme L’albero della Cuccagna (The Greasy Pole). Nutrimenti dell’arte (The Food of Art ), curated by  Achille Bonito Oliva, with the patronage of EXPO Milano 2015, which will be presented simultaneously throughout Italy on 10 October, at the time of the XI Giornata del Contemporaneo AMACI – Associazione dei Musei d’Arte Contemporanea Italiani (Eleventh Day of the Contemporary: AMACI - Association of Italy's Museums of Contemporary Art) , with several events at public museums and private foundations, among which the MAXXI of Rome, the MART of Rovereto, the Castle of Rivoli (Turin), the MADRE of Naples.
